Description

January

This was a start to expirement on paint.net to get the lines thicker without showing any creases of the pencil too much. About a month later, I'd try to get away from pencil and more on ink.

February

This was a case of pasting and layering work while trying a ink piece. Might be also the case that this was a expirement into making color adjustments.

March

Like January, this was another chance to cover lines with computer made, but this was a handmade background piece. Also, this is in pen, which is quite a difference. Though, I didn't control colors like I do know.

April

This was the point that I began to use the "isolate lineart" effect in my work. To point out, I think it's helped my work for months, so I think this is a consequent effort. Also, I was beggining to work with the grip roller type pen that I now frequently use in my work.

May

Isolating the figure from a transparent background. A effect I sometimes use in my work, but I this was one of my firsts.

June

Just started working on gradients! It's a constant help in my works, so there you go.

From time to time, I working with line paper work. So, this is one of my examples of that process. The face also seems different, it's probably due to how my faces always keep evolving as living beings.

This one is a expirement with combining a coarse pencil effect for backgrounds and inking on characters, but found out that it didn't suit me, even if people liked how I did the picture. By this point, I was beginning to loose the shading and just stick with lighting.

I guess this was the start of expirementing with textures and colors since I really wanted to give my stitchpunk drawings a plausibility of being realistic even with the cartoonish lineart. If you read the commentary on this one, I stole and cut up a picture of a action figure of 9 to get the texture. I've been using this method everytime I draw them.

Oh boy... the meme. This one was hard to pick a face out since I worked on for a whole week on it. Also, to point, this was made a year ago, I guess I chose this out of all the October pieces since this the point I was starting to working on coloring older pieces I haven't gotten to. Unfortunately, I'm going to be re-drawing pieces since my style has changed, as you see on December's box.

This was the point I wanted to overcolor my penmarks with similar coloring to give a more softer look in my drawings. I gave up on this technique and left the pen shading alone since it just took too much time. Though, I did learn that adding a blur of similar color over the isolated lineart(note that the "isolate lineart" function darkens the actual lineart) adds a brighter effect, that I continue to do this as to add lighting.

Will post next.
My latest piece. All I just posted in this meme and commented down here show what led up to here. Just to note, I think I learned from commented about my pieces, and I might use some techniques again, but who knows?
