A puppet he never knew

Another Paul Cocker Jr./Rankin Bass tribute with Disney.

One of most forgotten Rankin Bass Christmas specials, Pinnochio's Christmas. Seeming that people wouldn't know, that was one of my reasons for drawing this. Though, since I never drawn that Pinnochio or the disney one, I decided to draw both of them in the same picture.

I used their box art for refference to give a special fealing towards this one.Speaking of special, this took me a week to get this one finished, mostly due to the background though. Finding reference images of the Disney Pinnochio "a Actor's Life for Me" scene scenery was rather hard to find on this site, so it's kind of a simplified version.

I feel bad that I overshaded Pinnochio since his eyebrow and eyelid area are supposed to be flat compared to the Rankin Bass/Paul Cocker Jr. since he's a stop-motion "puppet", so there's a lot of depth with a camera on the Rankin Bass version.

Here's the Rankin Bass special! You probably won't like the songs like I do, but at least you'll see what the other Pinocchio looks like animated.
