Moomin has a moment of apophenia

Moomin fanart. I actually love how Tove Jansson drew my favorite character Snuffkin. When I was curious about his animated form, I looked the episode up and was disappointed with his design.

They made him look like the magician from the Last Unicorn. What hurts me is that the original design was a bit dark and enigmatic, but the redesign made him doughy and nonthreatening.

This is a old sketch actually and decided to ink it. Snuffkin's blue lines was by random but worked out well. Tried to go for a simpler coloring palette to fit the comic.

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the way Snufkin is designed in the Japanese cartoon. Not the way the cartoonist draws him.
