Dragon Quest 8 tribute art with my favorite character, Yangus!

I'm playing Kingdom Hearts 2 again(haven't played that game in three years) right now, but I just played through Dragon Quest 8 for two weeks, so it was fun going from beggining to end walking around as the bandit with the cockney accent(I love changing the character you walk around with function). His expression is actually based off of him riding the Sabrecat for the first time which is actually quite funny compared to the "hero" character.

I decided to add a candycat on the side for good measure. So, I guess this a Dragon Quest 8 cat tribute? Anyways, again I used the noise function to give the fur a feeling of it's own. When drawing this, I used my Yangus action figure for precise weight and look for the detail. While the premotional work usually shows him with a ax, I wanted him with a scythe since it's my favorite weapon in the game and it gives you a psychopomp status!

Also, I don't like how clumped the hair on the sabrecat is, so I made the red hair threaded to give a more living look.

This is my favorite from your gallery. All the face expressions, the details, the usage of colors, and the idea, truly resembles it must have been inherited from a great inspiration. I really like the animals, they are absolutely cute! And the man is very personal.

I think the background could use a bit of fixing. Try to create something dark to the background, so it would contrast well with the light characters. Additional details, extra grass and sand, wouldn't be too bad either. Even better when from another perspective than bird's. (As much as I hate to say that...)

I do not think you are far away from artwork to be remembered... there are only a couple of issues requiring attention, really. The rest is awesome.
